Nuria, aged 9, lives with her grandfather in a small suburban house with a bit of garden. When her snack box is stolen by a gang of resourceful ants, she decides to set off in search of it. Her snack box is dearest to her: it was her mum who gave it to her. This ‘journey’ and her encounter with Odette, the spider, will lead her to look at the world around her in a different way, and particularly at all those little creatures that frighten, disgust and disturb her.

This show was born out of a desire to question our relationship with the world of insects and with nature. Over the centuries, as we have radically changed our way of life, we have gradually disassociated ourselves from our environment.  We feel separated from nature and regard it as a pleasant or dangerous environment; our relationship with living things is often based on fear and ignorance. Cut off from what we perceive, our ability to understand it diminishes. At a time when the threat of climate change is causing anxiety, particularly among the younger generation, this show is a modest attempt to take a tender, humorous look at our contradictions in the face of things that are different from us.
